A new structure for ISS’ Private Sector business
Following the departure of Andrew Wilkinson (formerly COO, Office & Production), to lead ISS Group’s Barclays Global Key Account, the Company’s Office & Production Segment has been replaced with two segments: Financial Services (FS), including Barclays UK, Banking and Livv; and Business & Industry, including Professional Services, Production, Technology and Ireland.
Together, these changes seek to strengthen the Company’s segment focus, bring its operations and customers closer to the UK & Ireland leadership team and drive growth in its private sector business and in ISS Ireland.
The appointment of Marlies Hoogeboom as Segment Director, Financial Services, was announced by the Company on 15 June 2026 and can be read here.
Business & Industry appointee
Charlie McCarthy joins the Company as Segment Director for Business & Industry on 1 September 2026, bringing with him a strong track record of effectively managing complex FM needs and capital projects across a global matrix. Over the course of a 23-year career in FM, in senior roles at companies including Mitie, Compass and Interserve, he has delivered client-focused, strategic FM solutions across a wide range of industries and sectors. Most recently as Managing Director of JLL EMEA, Charlie has driven revenue growth across 57 countries while fostering a culture of excellence and talent acquisition and development.
Charlie and his team will drive growth in B&I, including ISS Ireland, supported by investment aligned to the Company’s broader strategy. He will oversee the development of sharper value propositions by sub-segment, playing where ISS adds value and supporting the objective to make B&I the fastest growing part of the Company in the medium- to long-term.
Scott Davies, CEO, ISS UK & Ireland, commented: “I am delighted to welcome a talented, seasoned executive like Charlie’s to our Company and the UK & Ireland team. Under Charlie’s expert leadership and given the opportunities we see in Ireland to better leverage our product investment, capability and value proposition, Business & Industry could be the fastest growing part of our business in the medium-to long-term.
“This focus, alongside continuous improvements in operational effectiveness via standardisation and best-practice sharing, will unlock the potential of this crucial segment, while bringing the CLT and our functional teams one step closer to our operations.”
