Secondary School catering

Putting quality, choice and value back on the menu

Providing pupils at secondary schools and academies with popular food choices is all about engaging their interest. At ISS, we do much more than entice pupils to enjoy our catering solutions. We serve varied, tasty and nutritious menus that help enhance their lifestyles and energise their minds.

In 2010, ISS became one of the first catering contractors in the government's Building Schools for the Future (BSF) scheme, when the Brunel Academy opened in Bristol. Since then, we have further embraced the government's nutritional standards to create an exciting range of dishes that meet the dietary and cost demands of pupils, schools and local authorities.

Revolutionising the dining experience

We take the dining experience of secondary school pupils seriously. That's why we've created a concept entitled 'Food...' that revolutionises the way they enjoy their meals and drinks. Comprising distinctive graphics, pleasing dining environments and marketing support, the distinctive concept aims to create memories around the mealtime experience. The result is an engaging identity that encourages more students to consume healthy and nutritious meals onsite.

Alongside providing nutritious food in an attractive environment, we have gone to great lengths to understand how and what teenagers want to eat. These insights have inspired new menus that blend value, taste and social choices to improve performance.
