Sustainable Service Performance
Making efficient and responsible use of natural resources

Barbara Jensen_blueAs a business that provides facilities management services, we make a comparably smaller use of natural resources than other sectors of the economy. However our size means that we still make substantial use of energy and fuel resources to run our offices and vehicle fleet and natural materials in the products we utilise in delivering cleaning, catering and other services. We aim to be thoughtful and tread lightly in the way we buy, use and dispose of resources. 

Careful consideration and use of natural resources enables us to operate more efficiently, reduce costs, anticipate future regulatory changes and meet our customers’ expectations. The evolving challenges brought about by climate change and the global commitments that were agreed in December 2015 at the UN Conference on Climate Change (COP21) mean that we need to future-proof our business and take steps to reduce our own carbon footprint. Allied to this, natural resources such as food and drink products, paper and cleaning consumables that our business relies upon are likely to become scarcer and costlier in the years ahead. This means we need to take steps towards buying more sustainable products and services and reducing the waste generated from them.
