Identifying, retaining and developing the best talent

Our people are fundamental to our vision to be the world’s greatest service organisation. We recognise that to provide the best service to our customers we need to employee diverse teams and do this by recruiting from a broad talent pool, focusing on groups who might typically struggle to access employment opportunities. We have now trained a number of our employees to share their valuable experience and coaching with Service Leavers through our JointForces@ISS programme.

Once in the business we empower our employees to celebrate their rich diversity which creates an inclusive culture where people thrive at work. We marked various notable dates such as International Women’s Day and Pride this year. We are proud to have been recognised this year by the Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion with two awards: ‘An inclusive workplace’ and ‘Overall private sector employer’. In addition to this we support our employees to have long, successful careers through Apprenticeships@ISS and growth opportunities.
