ISS understands the value that our military services bring to our organisation and the difficultly they face when transitioning from the forces into civilian employment. ISS has long supported Military Service Leavers, Veterans, Reservists and spouses in a variety of ways and has been recognised for this support by the MoD with employer recognitions scheme Gold Award.
The aim of the programme is to support Veterans, Service Leavers and spouses in career advice to secure a successful and meaningful career. Our ambition and work to recruit these individuals is a key example of how we are recruiting from a broad talent pool, a key ambition in our CR ThinkForward@ISS strategy.
JointForces@ISS in its simplest form is a managed network of Sectors, accounts, departments & JointForces@ISS Mentors that offer support to our transitioning military personal, in a number of ways. in 2021 JointForces@ISS won the IWFM Impact Award for Social Value.
The JointForces@ISS is a support platform for Service Leavers, Veterans and spouses. The programme is a centralised in the UK and governed by the JointForces@ISS management team, the programme is a network of ISS Employees from the business who volunteer their time to support someone from the military community. That support can be anything from CV review to a full internships.
