ISS Technical Services has an in-house BMS Controls team

Building Management Systems

Our specialist in-house BMS Controls team undertakes planned maintenance, management and installation of controls systems across our customers’ sites for a multitude of BMS manufacturers

We also have a strategy rewriting capability, effectively changing a standard BMS into a BEMS (Building Energy Management System) where the strategy is based upon energy efficient control routines.

This is intrinsically linked in with our Energy-led Engineering service and is managed centrally from our Energy Control Centre.

Planned Maintenance – Periodic Service:

Our Control team provide year-round seasonal maintenance. We often find that older buildings do not have an economical or sustainable strategy implemented. ISS Technical Services would look to make an assessment of this with the client to understand their drivers. Our planned maintenance approach provides continued system efficiency and on-going support service with regular scheduled maintenance visits tailored to meet customers’ needs.

Reactive Maintenance and Repairs:

We would look to identify plant degradation and excessive usage and make them right on a first-time-fix basis. This enables a seamless continuation of plant control and peace of mind for our customers. Poorly designed strategies can be a major factor in unwarranted energy usage. Our engineers have the technical expertise to identify these issues and resolve them during maintenance. We continuously encourage our engineers to be a point of call for our customers, giving them the confidence and trust in the service we provide.

24 x 7 Remote Technical Diagnostics and Support:

This service provides full technical support for any BMS related issues. Our Energy Controls Centre provides remote diagnostics of BMS related faults as well as identifies opportunities to increase energy efficiency. We also have Process Loop Monitoring, Tuning and Diagnostic Software that will identify and rectify energy efficiency issues. This service is available nationally on a 24 x 7 basis.

System integrity checks:

Carrying out regular remote system inspections to test the integrity of the system onsite to ensure operational peak performance.

Alarm Handling Services:

Our alarm handling service provides critical monitoring and instant notification. It enables fast and prompt responses to any threshold breaches in order to resolve issues in a proactive manner.

Project delivery: 

Alongside the planned maintenance and monitoring of installed controls systems, we also have the internal capability to upgrade systems within a multitude of environments. These abilities form a project-based approach and can range from the addition of control points through to full overhaul of systems. We have a diverse engineering team whose skillsets have been developed in line with the business needs.
