Our Services

ISS create great environments and food solutions that improve the quality of our clients and customers lives

Other useful stuff

Red Nose Day

Within ISS Food and Hospitality we understand that having a strong Corporate Responsibilities agenda is the right thing to do. A business of our size should have an ethos that represents not only the interests of its clients and team members but also, those of the community and environments it serves. This is best achieved together; we continue to work to reflect the interests of our clients whilst ensuring we use the strength of our relationships with our supply partners to work for a better future.

Charity

We are proud to work with a range of local and national charities and our teams raise large sums of money for worthy causes every year. ISS has raised over £500,000 for The British Heart Foundation alone.

2015 sees ISS partner the Princes Trust to ensure we are supporting young people and our youth employability objective

Youth and Community

Through the ISS Food and Hospitality Academy, our national apprenticeship and Work Inspiration programme, we support the introduction of young people in need of an opportunity into the workplace. We are also proud of our two year Chef apprenticeship programme with Leeds City College Chef Academy.

Purchasing 01

They may be behind the scenes, but the Procurement team are a busy and vital part of our success story. Over the past few months alone, they have completed several large category reviews including Napkins/Foil/Film, Hot Beverages & Bakery. In the process they have reduced our salt intake by 685 kg per annum; saved a staggering 52,722kg of paper, foil and film and introduced a British Organic Tea Range.

  • They don’t stop there! Thanks to the efforts of our dynamic procurement team:
  • We offer a full range of Farm Assured British Meat
  • We only serve responsibly caught or farmed fish
  • We have MSC accreditation and are signed up to the Sustainable Fish City Pledge
  • All our coffee and sugar is Fairtrade, and we carry a range of Fairtrade water, orange & apple juice, confectionery and bananas.
  • We offer Fairtrade and Organic tea.

We care and we know our clients care too.

Apprentice 02

Developing and nurturing talent is the ISS way of making sure we have consistently great people with the capability to make a real difference. We continuously make sure that we give our teams a sense of purpose and personal accountability, because we know that being motivated is crucial in performing well on a day to day basis.

Using Talent Toolbox (our on-line appraisal tool) allows us to engage with our teams and make sure our training is personal to them. Our Leadership Development framework has been designed to train, progress and promote both our existing and future managers. By mentoring, our work Inspiration programme makes sure that our talent thrives. We know that a personal touch can make all the difference and make good service great. We call this the ‘Power of the Human Touch’.

Academy of Excellence

September 2014 saw the start of a special partnership between Leeds College and ISS Academy of Excellence. For this three-year journey, sixteen students were chosen,to work towards a VRQ level 1,2 & 3 diploma. The students will work both front and back of house, within the ISS business and spend time with our Food Development Team and Glynn Purnell before entering work placements.

Leeds College and the ISS partnership are extremely proud and excited to be nurturing future talent for our amazing industry.
