Red Tractor Pulls up for ISS
ISS Mediclean received their official Red Tractor certification in style recently when a full sized red tractor arrived outside the Thinktank,
Birmingham .

ISS Mediclean was the first public sector caterer licensed to use the Red Tractor food assurance logo on its menus.
The Red Tractor logo features on the menu of 40 hospital restaurants across the
UK
to show that Mediclean has chosen to serve quality assured British chicken, pork, beef, lamb and milk to their clients. The meat will be supplied by Prime Meats and the milk by Dairy Crest, including some dairy products. Andy Jones , Service Development Director at ISS Mediclean says “We are excited to be working with Assured Food Standards, Prime Meats and Dairy Crest to supply our hospital restaurants with Red Tractor meat and milk. Having the Red Tractor visit our INNOV8 Launch was really the icing on the cake!”

ISS Mediclean takes its responsibility towards sustainable programmes very seriously; it also holds the MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) certification, which signifies that we offer only fish from sustainable stocks. A key reason for them taking these initiatives was environmental – to help ensure that we have a food source for the future as well as helping to reduce our carbon footprint.
The move is also a positive step towards enabling hospital trusts to meet the criteria set out in the Public Sector Food Procurement Initiative (PSFPI) guidelines for raising production standards by sourcing Red Tractor food.
INNOV8 saw ISS Mediclean launch its new retail vision for the future in healthcare and defence. The event held at the Thinktank, Birmingham was attended by more than 150 managers from around the country.
