The Qualifying finals for the ISS Canary Wharf Squash Classic were held at the Wimbledon Rackets and Fitness Club, with the final four places being decided today.

 

For the record the results were:

Simon Rosner (Germany) beat Mark Krajcsak (Hungary) 13-11, 10-12, 11-7, 11-9 (70 mins)

Nicolas Muller (Switzerland) beat Chris Simpson (England)   8-11, 11-6, 11-7, 3-11,13-11 (73 mins)

Chris Ryder (England)   beat Mathieu Castagnet (France) 12-10, 6-11, 11-5, 11-6 (56 mins)

Davide Bianchetti (France) beat Julien Balbo (Italy) 12-10, 11-4, 11-5 (50 mins)

Once the finalists were known the draw to complete the first round line-up paired Hertfordshire-based qualifier Chris Ryder with top seed Nick Matthew in an all-English battle. First up on Monday night is Germany’s Simon Rosner against former world champion Thierry Lincou of France.

 

On Tuesday, Davide Bianchetti meets reigning champion David Palmer of Australia and Switzerland’s Nicolas Muller is drawn against No.2 seed Gregory Gaultier of France.
